DESCRIPTION
A flat or "pancake" Tesla coil made from 2 coil modules that are designed to fit together. The primary coil has 4.75 turns and the secondary about 150 turns.
These kinds of Tesla coils are easy to set up and take very little space but they are not as efficient as larger tower Tesla coils. The pancake version can be used for experiments, demonstrations, and also in functional devices. The primary coil can also be connected directly to a radionics machine.
We advise using 10mm M3 nylon spacers or some other non-conductive material to separate the 2 coils. At low voltage (12V) power supply of the primary coil, the secondary coil can be separated from the primary coil by only 3mm. Do not place the 2 coils directly on top of each other without separation, regardless of what voltage is being used to power the primary coil.
Any work with high voltage power supplies should be performed by a professional.
