Acquired from a local estate you are buying a
1891-1921 HAND PAINTED CHOCOLATE POT SET including a 9” tall pot and (5) 3” tall cups on (5) 4 3/4” saucers. This set has the blue sunrise mark on the pot and cups no mark on saucers which is common for these sets. The cups are a very fine thin porcelain. This is an original Nippon set NOT A REPRODUCTION. If you are not familiar with Nippon or have concerns type in your internet  search“fake Nippon” there are numerous sites/articles about how to authenticate Nippon. STAY AWAY FROM THE HOUR GLASS MARK.
I have the purchase receipt from the last owner purchased from an antiques shop in 1987 for 0.00.
The
condition is very good
no chips, no cracks/hairlines, no repairs, just light gold edge wear mostly on lid
and no painted design loss.
