Large Hand Painted NIPPON Orchid Flower Heavily Gilded Antique Vase.

Description

This auction is for a very large 14 1/2" hand painted Nippon vase with gorgeous orchids on the body of the vase with a wide band of raised gilt enameled flowers and vines along the shoulder of the vase.  There is a wider band of heavy gilt enameled decoration with raised enamel dots.  The handles are also heavily gilded and do have wear as is expected with the age of the vase.  The top of the vase also gilded with a raised band of tiny enameled dots,  There is wear on the top edge of the vase as well.  There are no chips, cracks or repairs.  The base is gilded with raised enamel dots as well.  The vase is about 7" across at the widest point and tapers down to the base.  Gorgeous with fabulous artwork and colors!
