your consideration is this Exceptional Double Sided Large Antique Handled Nippon Vase.
The front, back and sides of this lovely vase boasts
hand painted
plaques depicting
roses and florals
trimmed with
exquisite raised gold framing. The lustrous black
background accentuates the extensive raised and beaded gold accent trim which is found throughout
. There are additional lateral bands decorated again with raised gold designs extending from under the rim to the foot (see images). The top rim is also decorated with front and back floral plaques trimmed in gold. This stunning Japanese vase was made between the years 1891 to 1911 and is marked with the early maple leaf mark in blue with the words "Hand Painted" . It is in remarkable condition with extremely minimal antique wear or paint loss with no nips, chips, cracks or repairs. The vase measures 11 1/4" tall, 8 1/4" from tip of handle to tip of handle and 7" deep. One of the finest classically designed Nippon vases we have seen and a stunning piece sure to add elegance to any decor, cabinet, or collection!
